Profile

The Virtual Education Master Program aims to educate and train: teachers, teaching professionals, managers of educational institutions, and researchers in the educative, administrative, and technology disciplines that lie behind of education in environments of globalization and cybersociety.

In education the participants will acquire: pedagogic, methodological, and didactic competences needed to implement instructional technology.

In administration, the participant will build models of organization ranging from the production of virtual educational materials that help in the presentiality to the completely mounting of a Virtual University.

In technology, the participant will acquire the basics of platforms and devices required to mount the "educational apparatus".


Pedagogic Model

The pedagogical model of teaching-learning used in the Virtual Education Master is the Instructional Technology implemented in environments of pedagogic e-clecticism that allows students to develop their academic process:

  • With Freedom Time (Anytime)
  • From Multiple Spaces (Anywhere)
  • With their own pace of learning
  • With your preferred learning style.

Metodology

Achieving the title of Master in Virtual Education (required for applicants to the Doctorate in Educatronic) is obtained through propaedeutic formation processes, also known as staggered formation or training by levels. The participant will study and will be credited individual processes of competences acquisition. Once completed the cycle will can aspire to the title of Master with the presentation of a thesis grade, That consist in the construction of a Pedagogic Mediator, process that will be supported by the e-Content Industrial Park.

Fundamentals in Virtual Education

General Goal

The participant begins a process of mental immersion in the understanding of Virtual Education as a new educational paradigm.

Specific Goal

  • Understand that virtual education is not another model of education as traditional or distance education, but, that is a new paradigm in educational systems, and analyze the psychological, social and technological considerations, that gave life to the new system. The students will envision what should be the model of personal and collective behavior required to act appropriately in the new context.

  • Understand that virtual education should be based on a system of Hypertext and Hypermedia literacy of Content Objects, and these make up the information ecosystem of the institution.

Education and Cybersociety

General Goal

Internalize that globalization and cyberspace require an educational system (paradigm) unique and pertinent, for which we visibilize the new environments arising from the Internet, and the Virtual Communities, and the CyberTerritories.

Specific Goal

  • Aprehender que la globalización es un paso necesario y económicamente trascendente en la evolución de las sociedades.

  • Analizar el concepto de Cibersociedad o Sociedad del Ciberespacio y como cada uno de sus entornos más visibles; El Comercio Electrónico, Los Edificios Inteligentes y la Legislación o el Derecho en la Cibersociedad van abriéndole caminos a la educación pertinente para estos nuevos entornos, e decir para la Educación Virtual.

  • Estudiar las estrategias operativas que serán pertinentes a implementar en las Instituciones de Educación superior cuando operen en entornos de Globalización y de Cibersociedad.

Pedagogy in Virtual Environments

General Goal

Hacer un estudio comparativo de lo que es la adaptación e implementación de los modelos pedagógicos, de las estrategias didácticas, y de las metodologías… clásicas, a los entornos globales y Cibersociales.

Specific Goal

  • Visibilizar la educación cibersocial desde la epistemología clásica.
  • Proyectar los modelos pedagógicos implementados en la Educación Virtual y en la Educación a Distancia a los Entornos Virtuales, especialmente para beneficiar la Interactividad y la Interacción.

  • Entender la Interfaz de Contenido como una herramienta para hacer Mediación Pedagógica.

  • Visionar la Teoría del Color como una Herramienta Pedagógica a utilizar en las interfaces de los Materiales y los Ambientes Educativos Virtuales.
